Hi, friend!
Elise is a Lead Experience Designer & Strategist based in New York City.
A little bit about me
I’m a problem solver, creative thinker, and passionate collaborator. I love that each project is an opportunity to deep-dive into unique, and often complex, systems. The work is in untangling the users’ needs, business goals, and technical feasibility — it is an exercise of (finding) and putting together the product’s puzzle pieces.
As a project lead, I facilitate collaboration across mulit-disciplinary teams, ensuring we deliver a strategically sound, innovative, and viable digital product. I’m a people person; I find joy in connecting with others — coworkers, clients, and users alike. My intent is to build products that exceed client and user goals, and for the team to feel empowered (and have a little fun) along the way.
Offline you’ll find me —
Dancing on a bike at SoulCycle, sweating it out in yoga, walking by the river listening to Armchair, singing along to Taylor Swift, FaceTiming family (including the dogs), grocery shopping as a hobby, reading beach reads year-round, taking photos I’ll someday figure out what to do with, laughing too loud, and daydreaming of the Outer Banks.
My approach
Understand
Gain a thorough understanding of the landscape and product goals via business & end-user interviews, competitor research, system audits, ecosystem mapping, and user flows.
Capture Requirements
Define requirements based on research and findings from client and end-user workshops. Document them through user stories, wireframes, and annotated flows.
Roadmap
Collaborate with leads on discovery and design plans, then create agile sprint schedules to ensure a smooth and efficient hybrid design and development process once the MVP is defined.
Design + Deliver
Oversee the implementation of visual design to assure the UX strategy stays in tact as the designs evolve. Work with teammates to complete dev-ready annotations.
